In this role, Morris oversees 1,960 employees working globally across the division’s Media & Workflow, Infrastructure & Networking and Transmission (radio and television) business units. Morris is focused on continuing BCD’s growth as a technology leader, particularly in new high-growth, media-driven markets. He also is overseeing BCD’s ongoing international expansion efforts. Morris has served as vice president and general manager of the Media and Workflow area of the Broadcast Communications business since joining Harris in January 2008. Prior to this position, Morris served as chief strategy officer for the Thomson Learning Division of Thomson Corporation, where he played an instrumental role in the development and execution of Thomson’s growth strategy for international channel expansion and digital products. Previously, he was a partner and vice president for Bain & Company, a global business consulting firm. In his 13 years with Bain & Company, he helped a wide variety of global clients analyze markets, develop growth strategies, expand into international markets and drive operational efficiencies. Morris has an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree with distinction in economics and foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. Morris is a frequent contributor as an interviewee and author to periodicals and online publications, including Catalyst magazine, sportsvideo.org and the Financial Times. |
