Philip Argyris

Philip Argyris is vice president, Transmission Systems, for Harris Broadcast Communications.

Based in Mason, Ohio, Argyris oversees the strategic direction of the radio and television transmitters, audio consoles and related products.

Argyris joined Harris Corporation in 2003 as vice president, human resources, for Broadcast Communications. His previous roles include executive positions for the Retail/Financial Group of NCR Corporation, which included four business units with revenue of $5 billion, 26,000 employees and operations in more than 65 countries.

Prior to joining NCR in 1999, Argyris served in senior HR roles with Amoco Corporation, including the top HR position at Amoco Energy Development Company in Houston, director of human resources international, and HR manager for Amoco Orient Petroleum in Shekou, Shenzen, PRC. As vice president of human resources for Amoco's Petroleum Products Sector in Chicago, he was instrumental in the placement of more than 500 executives, while establishing the 50 worldwide business units during the BP—Amoco merger in 1998. Argyris also lived and worked in Egypt during his Amoco career.

Argyris received his BBA in finance and MBA in industrial relations and organization behavior from Temple University.
