Harris Corporation is returning to the CABSAT MENA show in 2011 with a stand themed "Where creativity, technology and business meet."

This is an exciting show for Harris - CABSAT 2011 marks the first showing of Harris® Selenio™, the industry's first integrated media convergence platform. The energy-efficient, modular platform combines traditional baseband video and audio processing, compression and IP networking into a single solution - suitable for any fixed or mobile production environment, broadcast facility, ATSC or DVB-T/T2 terrestrial head end, or cable or satellite network.

In addition, product demonstrations that showcase all areas of the broadcast workflow - including automation, asset management, servers, routers, multiviewers, core processing, networking, graphics and branding, test and measurement and transmitters - will illustrate new and innovative ways broadcasters can use Harris technology to support the creativity of their teams and to meet vital business needs.

"Creativity in broadcasting is borne from solid, innovative technology," said Said Bacho, vice president of sales and services for Harris Broadcast Communications in the Middle East and South Asia. "Harris can provide a comprehensive workflow available today for all of tomorrow's standards - capable of meeting the challenges faced when merging baseband and broadband signals. Harris-enabled advanced media workflows allow broadcasters to deploy 3D, 3 Gb/s, HD and integrated baseband/broadband operations easily and cost effectively."
