Trade Shows and Global Marketing Update

by Mary Beth Harnett, Director, Global Marketing and Branding

For years, Harris has been recognized as a worldwide leader in broadcast transmission systems for radio and television. After the acquisition of Encoda Systems in 2004, it was time to spread the news that Harris was quickly becoming an even larger force in the broadcast arena -- a force that not only offers transmission but also software for a variety of applications.

Today, Harris holds a solid global leadership position in the following areas:

  • #1 in Television Transmission
  • #1 in Radio Transmission
  • #1 in Automation Software
  • #1 in Traffic & Billing Software

With the recent acquisition of Leitch Technologies in October 2005, Harris has expanded its leadership position even further--offering extensive expertise in the areas of digital media, infrastructure and networking solutions.

All of this means that Harris is truly “Surrounding Broadcasters with Total Content Delivery Solutions.” In other words, we help broadcasters create, manage, distribute and deliver content by offering products and services for every phase of content delivery.

To spread the word about Harris’ expanded market position a new campaign was launched in April 2005 using global publication advertising, public relations and trade shows. Here is a quick summary of our key trade shows to date...
