AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, September 11, 2008 (IBC2008, Stand 7.G20) — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, will showcase its broad multiviewer portfolio, which includes products by Zandar Technologies, at the 2008 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC). The new Harris multiviewer range now offers three unique architecture platforms to meet customers' diverse monitoring needs in today's multiformat, multi-resolution, multichannel broadcast environments. For control rooms, production centers or monitoring facilities that require a truly flexible architecture, Harris will demonstrate its award-winning Zandar Predator II range, which now offers a new 1RU version that monitors from 4 to 12 sources. With this latest introduction, the Predator II range now offers scalable monitoring from 4 to 32 sources per box — providing a highly scalable, auto-sensing, distributed multiviewer solution, which is ideal for master control rooms that are expected to grow. For complex, large-scale monitoring environments, Harris will demonstrate its award-winning CENTRIO multiviewer, which is available either as a standalone platform or as part of a system solution integrated with the Harris® Platinum router. This highly redundant monitoring solution allows customers to view up to 512 sources simultaneously and provides multiformat support from analog all the way to 3 Gb/s 1080p 50/60. Combining superior graphics such as scrolling video, integrated test and measurement tools, and a rugged, self-contained architecture, CENTRIO can reduce the cost and complexity of large-system monitoring applications in mobile production and broadcast control rooms alike. For superior performance in space-constrained environments, Harris will highlight the unique "multiviewer in a card" architecture of its Zandar QS100HD Quad multiviewer. Specially designed to insert into the expansion slot of the Sony® LMD range of monitors, the first-of-its-kind QS100HD Quad card offers full multiviewer functionality in a compact form factor, which is ideal for space saving in applications such as outside broadcast/mobile production. Harris Broadcast Communications offers products, systems and services that provide interoperable workflow solutions that span the entire media delivery chain. The Harris ONE solution brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that are ideal for emerging media business models and for customers upgrading media operations to digital and high-definition services.
