HALRSYS-A22

Provides Monitoring and Control Functionality
The NetVX™ HALRSYS-A22 system controller module provides control and management functionality for the entire NetVX sys-tem. HALRSYS-A22 functions include provisioning, status, fault management and supervisory control. The HALRSYS-A22 is de-signed to provide redundant system control. Systems configured for redundant system control use two HALRSYS-A22 modules installed in slots one and two. A HALRSYS-A22 can also perform redundant functions to a HALRSYS-A12 system controller.

Each HALRSYS-A22 module includes two 10/100Base-T Ether-net interfaces. One interface provides an IP connection for sys-tem control and firmware upgrades. The second interface is for monitoring purposes and connects to the same interface on an optional backup system controller. The HALRSYS-A22 reference input accepts a 300 mV blackburst signal on a BNC interface that is internally terminated with a 75 ohm load. A blackburst signal received through this interface provides a genlock refer-ence to any of the NetVX system’s video and audio outputs. A DB-15 interface provides a connection point for cabling to the NetVX rear connection board. The NetVX connection board breaks out the HALRSYS-A22 module RS-232 and RS-422 se-rial data signals for connections with external equipment.
