Sage ENDEC

The Emergency Alert System was designed to give the President of the United States automatic access to the nation's broadcast outlets, in order to directly speak to the country in times of national disaster. Similarly, the EAS system can be used by the National Weather Service and State and Local level officials to disseminate other types of emergency information, including AMBER alerts to locate lost or abducted children. Your EAS encoder/decoder will receive commands either directly from the source of the emergency information, or from a web of other broadcasters in your area that will relay the information from the primary source.

The Harris Sage ENDEC 1822 EAS Unit provides a complete solution for the Emergency Alert System. The Model 1822 features 6 separate inputs, plus the capability to record or relay original alerts and bulletins. The system is programmable to allow for geographic-specific functioning. General alerts can be automated, manual, or timed to handle both modes. The system also includes remote control capability and a thermal printer. And being software-based, the ENDEC can be upgraded to the latest weather and FIPS codes, as needed with a simply plug-in ROM chip.

The Harris Sage ENDEC Software allows users to pre-build their EAS messaging. The ENDEC PRO software package, can handle thousands of pre-stored alerts and canned alert audio files. Both the ENDEC PRO and the and the lite version, ENDEC DJ products provide a point and click interface for sending and relaying alerts.

The Harris Sage ENDEC Remote Control RC-1 provides a complete solution for the Emergency Alert System. Use this remote control to activate functions within the ENDEC system.

The Harris Sage RP-2 Relay Panel is used with multi-station setup to control more than one station from a single ENDEC system.

The Harris EAS-AES-SWITCH is used in systems needing AES audio switching for program interruption.
