NEXIO® LXF Export

Plug-in for Apple Final Cut Pro non-linear editing application

Part of the Harris® NewsForce™ HD/SD news platform, NEXIO® LXF Export is a plug-in for the Apple® Final Cut Pro® (FCP) nonlinear editing application.

The NEXIO LXF Export plug-in is designed to export LXF files directly from FCP. The LXF files created by NEXIO LXF Export can contain NEXIO-specific metadata such as ID name, agency, description and up to four user fields for extra information. These LXF files are formatted properly for direct import into the NEXIO shared storage using NEXIO FTP Server and NEXIO FTP Client applications.

The NEXIO LXF Export plug-in is designed to simplify the process of getting finished edits from a standalone FCP editor to NEXIO for playout. When the edit is complete, the NEXIO LXF Export plug-in allows the operator to enter NEXIO-specific metadata and export a file to a specific location. LXF Export eliminates the need for editors to adjust output parameters by following the FCP sequence settings for export. All LXF files generated with NEXIO LXF Export are properly formatted to be directly FTPed into the NEXIO SAN.

These LXF files are immediately available for play to air as soon as the FTP transfer begins.
