AES Audio Synchronizer for the Dolby® PRM-4200 Professional Reference Monitor
The Harris® PRM-AUDIOSYNC is a standalone audio synchronizer specifically designed to ensure lip-sync accuracy for the Dolby® PRM-4200 Professional Reference Monitor. The PRM-4200 high-precision, flat-panel color display is ideal for color-critical work and handles all popular SD and HD video formats. It has the ability to emulate a wide variety of display types (LCD, CRT, Plasma, etc.), resulting in different video processing delays depending on the format and mode in use. The PRM-AUDIOSYNC automatically matches the audio delay to the video delay inside the monitor.
The PRM-AUDIOSYNC and the PRM-4200 work together seamlessly, and no special user control or configuration is required — just plug these units in, and you’re ready to go.

Product Details
Signal Flow
The PRM-4200 tracks its internal video processing delay and generates an audio sync pulse to indicate the amount of video delay through the monitor at any given moment. The PRM-AUDIOSYNC accepts this pulse and applies the correct amount of delay to the audio in order to match the video delay. The PRM-AUDIOSYNC adapts very quickly and smoothly to any changes in video format delays, making the change in delay transparent to the listener.
