Harris' new series of UHF transmitters

Available in both liquid-cooled and air-cooled models, Maxiva™ features Harris® PowerSmart™ technology for best-in-class efficiency and reliable operation. Both of these solid-state transmitters provide today's multimedia broadcaster with one transmitter platform capable of multiple modulation schemes.

The Maxiva™ ULX is a 1 kW to 62.8 kW Liquid Cooled UHF Transmitter that is ideal for all high-power UHF applications. With a dramatic increase in power density over previous platforms, it is possible for a single-cabinet unit to provide up to 8.7 kW DVB-T average power or 26.2 kW analog power. At its core is the frequency-agile Harris® Apex M2X™ exciter, which supports ATSC, ATSC mobile, DVBT/H, ISDB-Tb, FLO, DMB-T/H, DAB, CMMB and a wide range of analog TV standards. And, it is DVB-T2 ready.

The Maxiva™ UAX is a 10 W to 2 kW Air-Cooled UHF Transmitter designed specifically for broadcasters that require a cost- and space-efficient solution for low-power transmission. This transmitter leverages proven technologies from Harris, including the Apex™ multimedia exciter's capability to support the complete range of analog and digital standards, Real-Time Adaptive Correction (RTAC™) and best-in-class transmission platforms. Its field-upgradeable design makes the Maxiva UAX transmitter an ideal solution for any analog broadcaster planning a future transition to digital or mobile TV.
