Automatic Ingest: For Improved Workflow and Efficiency

The success of any broadcast operation depends on its ability to deliver media where it is needed, when it is needed, and in the format that is needed. Metadata — the essential information that enables media to be archived, browsed, retrieved, edited and broadcast — makes all of that possible.

But ingesting content with accurate metadata has always been a time-consuming, manual operation. ADC™ Automatic Ingest changes that by simplifying, streamlining and automating the ingest process.

An optional, turnkey media management solution, Automatic Ingest extends the capability of your ADC™ automation system by transcoding media automatically to your broadcast server. System features include:

  • Capture and retention of metadata associated with original media content, making it available to automation and digital asset management systems
  • Proven integration with leading digital content distribution centers such as DG Spot Box and Pathfire DMG (by DG Fast Channel™) , Vyvx™, Mijo™ and leading broadcast server providers such as Harris®, Thompson Grass Valley, Omneon and others.
  • Interoperability with Harris® H-Class™ applications, including OSi-Traffic™, and other BXF-compliant products
  • Support for high-resolution review of media on the video server using the optional H-Class™ Device Controller

Automatic Ingest benefits are many, including:

  • Faster and more accurate ingest
  • Quicker access to media by all station groups
  • Fewer on-air errors
  • Reduced operational costs
  • More time to pursue new business opportunities

Automatic Ingest delivers a complete ingest-to-broadcast solution. For more information, visit the ADC™ Automatic Ingest Web page or download the WBKO Case Study.
